Ever since the release of the 2017 RAM 1500 here at Bemidji Chrysler Center , drivers in the International Falls area have been raving about the capabilities of this new pickup truck. While RAM trucks have made tremendous gains and innovations in their cabin comforts and technologies over the past few years, the real draw of these full-size pickup trucks is the massive engines that lie underneath the hood. Here’s a quick overview of the engine options available on the 2017 RAM 1500.

The 2017 RAM 1500 is a full-size pickup truck that comes with a bevy of configuration options. With 10 trim levels, three bed sizes, and three cabin sizes, the 2017 RAM 1500 is a truck that can be personalized to fit your exact specifications. In addition to all these options, there are three different engines available. The base engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which features Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a sophisticated Thermal Management System for optimal power, performance, and efficiency. This base V6 engine cranks out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque.

If you want an even more powerful gasoline engine on your 2017 RAM 1500, consider upgrading to the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. This beast is good for 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 10,700 pounds in certain configurations. Those looking for a change of pace from the gasoline engine should take a look at the EcoDiesel engine. This diesel-powered engine is focused on providing a combination of power and fuel-efficiency. It cranks out 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque while achieving up to 29 miles per gallon on the highway.

To test these three engines for yourself, head on over to Bemidji Chrysler Center near International Falls, MN for a test drive. We look forward to seeing you at our car dealership soon!
