When Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne declared in early 2014 that he wanted Jeep® to sell over one million vehicles by the time the year ended, many people thought that this was an ambitious goal at best and an unreachable one at worst. Well, now that 2014 has rolled into 2015, we can finally look at the total sales numbers for the year, and we can see that Jeep proved all of Marchionne’s naysayers wrong by selling over one million vehicles this past year.

Here at your local Bemidji Jeep® dealership, these numbers are thrilling to hear, but they come as no surprise. People from all over northern Minnesota are visiting us to test drive popular Jeep vehicles such as the 2015 Jeep Wrangler, the 2015 Jeep Cherokee, and the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Grand Rapids and Bemidji residents love the combination of off-road readiness and interior comfort, technology, and convenience features these Jeep vehicles can provide them.

Looking a bit further into the numbers, Jeep sold a total of 1,017,019 vehicles in 2014, far exceeding the one million goal. In 2013, the brand sold 731,565 vehicles, making for a 39 percent increase in sales in 2014. As far as individual models go, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Wrangler led the way. Clearly, when you make a vehicle that you improve upon each year, as Jeep does, people will want to buy it. One example of the constant innovation out of Jeep headquarters is found in the redesign of the Jeep Cherokee. After several years of being out of the market, the Cherokee made a triumphant return for the 2014 model year, sporting several luxurious interior features, as well as the hard spirit Jeep is known for among customers.
