Believe it or not, it’s almost time for the 2017 models of your favorite FCA US LLC vehicles to hit our lot here at Bemidji Chrysler Center. One of the favorite pickup trucks of Bemidji drivers is the 2016 RAM 1500, and because RAM is not a truck-maker to sit back on its laurels and release the same product year after year, it is planning on a bevy of changes for the new 2017 RAM 1500. One change that we just learned about is a new blacked-out Night option packages that will give the RAM truck a new, sleek appearance.

As the name “Night” implies, the new appearance package centers around a popular blacked-out theme. The features will be based on the Sport trim of the truck. From what we know so far, the Night package will boast gloss black 20-inch wheels and a black grille surround with “Hex Perf” pattern inserts. On the exterior of the truck, you’ll find a dark hue in place of the traditional chrome finish, with a black ram’s head and a RAM stamped tailgate with black lettering borrowed from the RAM 1500 Rebel.

In terms of configuration options, the Night package will be available on the regular cab, quad cab and crew cab variants, as well as in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive and long or short bed lengths. Plus, you’ll be able to choose between the base V6 engine and a monstrous 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine.

While there isn’t a lot of additional information about the upcoming 2017 RAM 1500 out there to date, we’re excited what the vaunted pickup maker has to offer. For now, head on over to Bemidji Chrysler Center to test drive the 2016 RAM 1500.
