After a 2015 model year that saw the Chrysler Town & Country win numerous awards and set sales records, it would seem to be a difficult task to improve on the minivan. But Chrysler is an automaker that has been known to push the boundaries further and further, and this is certainly the case with the brand new 2016 Chrysler Town & Country. Much more than a utilitarian people carrier, this new Chrysler minivan features cutting-edge technologies, a luxurious interior, and a host of reassuring safety features.
Ever since the 2016 Chrysler Town & Country arrived at our dealership, we’ve been finding new things that we love about it. The seven-passenger minivan comes in six different trim levels, ranging from the base LX to the luxurious Limited Platinum, and each trim has a number of different available option packages, making this van incredibly configurable. If you’re looking to use the spacious backseat for cargo rather than people carrying, you’ll be happy to hear that the Stow ‘n Go seats are back and better than ever. With this handy system, all you need to do is pull a lever, and the captain’s seats disappear into the floor, creating a ton of storage space.
On the technology front, the 2016 Chrysler Town & Country is loaded with cutting-edge features. Every trim of the minivan comes standard with the Uconnect infotainment system, which includes satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and an auxiliary audio jack. Additionally, all trims include a single-DVD entertainment system in the backseat with a nine-inch screen. The top trims upgrade this to a Blu-Ray system with a flip-down entertainment screen for the third row.
