Last year, the 2014 Jeep® Cherokee hit the road a changed vehicle. After a multi-year absence from the Jeep lineup, the Cherokee made a triumphant return to rave reviews from Minnesota drivers and professional car bloggers alike. Now that it’s time for the 2015 model year, Jeep has taken the suggestions for improvement to heart and has started to release the 2015 Jeep Cherokee to dealer lots, such as ours right here at your local Bemidji Jeep dealership, Bemidji Chrysler Center.
The 2014 Jeep Cherokee made a big splash in the compact SUV market thanks to its bold styling, great on-road performance, and off-road capabilities. The 2015 model will retain and improve on those aspects of the vehicle, with the first change being the implementation of a standard start/stop ignition technology to help conserve fuel. New on the Latitude and Trailhawk models are a standard rear camear and automatic headlamps. In other safety features, the available forward collision warning system gains low-speed crash mitigation support, and a new Safety-Tec option group for the Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, rear park assist, and signal mirrors.
As with last year, two powertrain options are available on the new Jeep Cherokee. International Falls and Bemidji drivers will get to choose between a four-cylinder and a six-cylinder engine. While we love the four-cylinder for its fuel efficiency and value, we heartily recommend the 3.2-liter V6, thanks to its 271 horsepower and 239 pound-per-foot of torque that it cranks out. Bemidji drivers also have the choice of front-wheel-drive or two different four-wheel-drive systems, with the Active Drive II system giving the vehicle extra capability in off-road situations.
We now have the 2015 Jeep Cherokee in stock here at Bemidji Chrysler Center, so come give it a whirl!
