Now that it’s summer in Bemidji, people are starting to take weekend adventures and longer vacationos Here in northern Minnesota, we appreciate all the wilderness around us, but if you’re going to fully take advantage of everything that the north woods have to offer, you’re going to need a vehicle that can handle it all. Luckily, we have that vehicle right here on our lot at Bemidji Chrysler Center, and it’s called the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Here’s a quick look at what makes this SUV an off-road beast.
First, when they buy the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Bemidji residents have their choice of a number of different trims, all of which contain a different four-wheel-drive system. The first, the Quadra-Trac I is fully automatic with a single-speed transfer case. Next up is the Quadra-Trac II, which offers all-speed traction control to keep on the course. The low-range gearing on this system provides drivers with rock crawling capabilities. Finally, the Quadra-Drive II gives you class-leading capabilities thanks to its Electronic Limited Slip Differential, which gives you year-round traction on wet or dry surfaces.
When you’re off-roading, you’re going to want to make sure that your suspension is equipped to handle the trail. Luckily, the Grand Cherokee includes the Quadra-Lift air suspension system, which raises the SUV’s ground clearance up to a maximum 10.8 inches higher. You can also lower it one inch for easy entry or exit. Lastly, the Selec-Terrain traction control system on the Grand Cherokee gives drivers five different modes to optimize vehicle performance in various weather conditions and terrain types, including snow, gravel, sand, rock, and pavement.
