It has been a long, strange trip for Jeep. Ever since the company’s inception in 1941 as an automaker primarily concerned with manufacturing durable vehicles, Jeep has come a long way, winning countless awards and impressing millions of drivers with its combination of off-road-readiness, cutting-edge technologies, and tough exterior. 2016 marks the 75th anniversary of Jeep vehicles, and to mark this momentous occasion, the automaker has released a number of special edition Jeep SUVs on all its popular models.
Here at your local Bemidji Jeep dealership, we are looking forward to receiving these new models on our lot, but we’ve gotten an advanced preview of what they’ll be like. On the exterior, every 75th Anniversary Edition Jeep model will be available in Jeep-exclusive Green exterior paint – Sarge Green, Recon Green, or Jungle Green, depending on the model. Additionally, all these special vehicles will receive exclusive seats with embossed 75th Anniversary logo or one-of-a-kind Ombre Mesh fabric, as well as open-air freedom and a 75h Anniversary exterior badge.
Although every version of the 75th Anniversary Edition will contain the above features, each Jeep model will contain its own unique quirks. For instance, the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee will get exclusive 18- and 20-inch wheels, tow hooks, grille rings, fog lamp bezels, lower fascia applique, roof rail and badges, all in Low Gloss Bronze. The new crossover SUV, the 2016 Jeep Renegade, will be based on the Latitude trim and will feature a booming Beats Audio system and a MySky open-air roof system.
The new Jeep 75th Anniversary Edition SUVs are set to ship in the next couple months, so stop on by Bemidji Chrysler Center to give them a whirl.
