As we approach the 2015 model year, anticipation is building for all of our favorite Chrysler Group vehicles. Here at Bemidji Chrysler Center, we’ve heard limited news about the new fleet of vehicles, but just this last week we were privy to new information regarding the upcoming 2015 Jeep® Grand Cherokee. In addition to many new improvements, this longtime favorite of Bemidji drivers will be more powerful, more quiet, and will feature new color choices.
This revelation comes as a bit of a surprise to here at our dealership, as the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Bemidji residents can’t get enough of was already a big redesign for Chrysler Group. This just shows how committed the automaker is to producing the best possible vehicles, listening to the feedback of everyday Minnesota drivers like you, and incorporating those changes into new designs.
First off, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT will feature a brand new engine, which is more powerful than anything we’ve ever seen on a Grand Cherokee in the past. The 6.4-Liter Hemi V8 cranks out an impressive 475 horsepower and 470 pound-per-foot of torque, and hits 60 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds. Besides that, Jeep has also added noise-canceling technology, which uses audio speakers to selectively dampen ambient noise.
Moreover, although we’re not entirely sure what the exterior of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee will look like, we do know that Jeep has introduced a new “Red Vapor” special-edition appearance package. This new option is offered with three exterior colors, and the extra Red Vapor Kit includes 20-inch black chrome five-spoke wheels, black painted badges, and grille inserts, and a dark red engine beauty cover.
