Here in Bemidji, the onset of fall means apple cider, changing colors of the trees, and new car releases. Indeed, September is typically when Bemidji Chrysler Center receives the first of the new vehicle models, and that is certainly true, as we have been lucky to get 2016 versions of many of our Chrysler, RAM, Dodge, and Jeep® models. One of the new cars that we’ve gotten the opportunity to drive is the newest version of the RAM 1500 pickup truck, and this popular truck has received upgrades both on the inside and outside.

Like previous versions of the truck, the 2016 RAM 1500 comes in many different trims and configuration options. On the exterior, the 2016 RAM 1500 Rebel stands out from the rest of the pack thanks to a prominent billet silver RAM letter badge, blacked-out Rebel grille, and an off-road bumper design with powder-coated surface. On the inside, the Rebel is just as tough and unique as on the exterior. The cabin has seats made up of high-grade technical-grain vinyl and a Toyo tire tread pattern that is guaranteed to stand up to abuse.

Under the hood, the 2016 RAM 1500 continues to be a leader in efficient pickup truck technology. The EcoDiesel has been retooled and improved since last year, and now the 3.0-liter engine is matched to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. Together, they deliver an unbeatable combination of fuel economy and a towing capacity of 9,200 pounds. Of course, you can also opt for the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with the eight-speed TorqueFlite.

If you want to see the big changes to the infotainment system, visit Bemidji Chrysler Center for a test drive of the new 2016 RAM 1500!
