One of the best things about the new 2016 RAM 1500 is just how well-balanced it is. Offering both a powerful V8 and an economical EcoDiesel, as well as numerous interior cabin configurations. Bemidji drivers might expect a truck with this many features to command a premium price, but that’s simply not true, as the 2016 RAM 1500 was recently named as the Best Full-Size Pickup Truck for the money by U.S. News and World Report. If you’re not aware of the awards, each year, U.S. News and World Report releases its list of Best Cars for the Money, in an attempt to inform consumers of which vehicles in a variety of segments give drivers the best bang for their buck. The rankings are based on an in-depth analysis by U.S News editors of all published vehicle ratings, reviews, and test drives. To get more specific, the testers come up with a composite score for each vehicle by averaging scores within 21 different categories. Quality is measured by the overall score in the U.S. News vehicle rankings, while value is measured by the five-year total cost of ownership and the average price paid for the vehicle at the time the awards are published.
In the end, the 2016 RAM 1500 came out on top. Here’s what U.S. News had to say about the car. “The RAM 1500 gives owners a first-class ownership experience, with a luxurious interior and performance that’s capable enough for traditional truck tasks but comfortable enough for everyday driving.”
