Jeep® has always been an automaker focused on creating vehicles that go where most other vehicles cannot. In the past few years, Jeep has been making vehicles such as the 2015 Jeep Cherokee that move a bit more toward the mainstream, offering more road-ready and family-friendly amenities. This doesn’t mean, however, that the company has lost its lust for adventure, with offerings like the 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The newest off-road-centric Jeep vehicle is the recently announced concept vehicle, the 2015 Jeep Grand Overlander.
Here at your local Bemidji Jeep dealership, we have learned a few new details about this exciting new Jeep vehicle. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander made its debut at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah a few weeks ago. While most of the Jeep vehicles that made their debut there tended to focus on traversing the desert, the Overlander concept is more broad and well-rounded and is more appropriate for all types of terrain.
The first thing that you’re sure to notice about this new Jeep vehicle is the fact that it has a tent strapped to the top. That’s right, the vehicle has a two-person hard-shell pop-up tent mounted to the roof, which means the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander is practically begging you to take it on an expedition to the Minnesota wilderness. In addition, this concept Jeep sets itself apart from the pack thanks to its Sage Green paint, matte black accents, and yellow-tinted front lights. Under the hood, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander will be powered by a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine cranking out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-per-foot of torque, while also achieving an estimated 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
Whether they’re interested in this new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander or a used Jeep Grand Cherokee, Grand Rapids MN-area residents can find it right here at Bemidji Chrysler Center!
