Chrysler is a company that is always on the forefront of new industry innovations. Plug-in hybrid cars have been growing in popularity for a few years now, but so far, they’ve only been small sedans or coupes. Chrysler is setting out to change that with a new plug-in hybrid version of the Chrysler Town & Country minivan that is set to debut in late 2015. We previously knew that Chrysler was planning to release this vehicle sometime in the future, but this release date is much earlier than anticipated. Needless to say, here at our Bemidji Chrysler dealership, we can’t wait.
We don’t know a whole lot about the upcoming plug-in hybrid minivan just yet, but what we do know is enough to make us brim with anticipating. CEO of Chrysler Group, Sergio Marchionne, previously stated that the upcoming fuel-efficient minivan will get an astounding 75 miles per gallon. Chrysler officials who were present at the Paris Motor Show also hinted that the hybrid vehicle will use a traditional layout consisting of an electric motor and a gasoline internal combustion engine.
This groundbreaking announcement comes at the heels of the release of the brand new Chrysler Town & Country Bemidji residents are starting to get their hands on. Now that the Town & Country has been riding the roads of Minnesota for over 30 years now, it has mastered the craft. The patented Stow ‘n Go seats return for another round, and they fold into the floor at the pull of a lever. On the technology side of things, we really like the DVD/Blu-Ray player with a flip-down screen for the third row that is featured on the S trim.
